Essay2-03b: Revised essay

We chose Julia Roberts’s movie so we watched the movie which Julia Roberts appeared. Therefore we'll write it about Julia Roberts. She is famous actoress in Hollywood and she appears for many movies. For example, she appears Notting Hill,  Eat Pray Love, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind and Dying Young (The Choice of Love). The latest movie that she sppears is Mirror Mirror. The date which the movie was released is March 30, 2012. It is comedy fantasy film based on the fairy tale "Snow White". The roll of Julia Roberts is wicked Queen. She is a splendid actress with the experience that won many prizes. Three movies that we chose are Larry Crowne,  Erin Brockovich and Pretty Woman.

First movie is Larry Crowne. This movie love and comedy drama film and this movie is released in 2011. The landing actor is Tom Hanks, and he is a director, a collaboration and coscenarist. The name of his role, Larry Crowne. Julia Roberts comes up as a teacher role of him and, the name of her role, Mercedes Tainot.

Larry has been working for a supermarket for many years. He seemed to be satisfied every day, and he lived on it. However, he is fired from a company because he isn't graduate from a university. Then he enters the community college, and he takes the Tainot's speech class. She seems that she didn't perverse about everything, both work and  her family, so she was very angry every day and every things. And also, she does not know whether one's class is helpful for the student. And she seems to didn't  to have much enthusiasm for teaching a student. In fact, first, her lecture was number of people lack and she seemed to be pleased with a lecture being canceled very much. Finally both she and he understand the happiness in the life and they obtain happiness.

Her performance was very splendid. Her performance fitted a role of her, a tiring expression and joyful expression. This movie was easy to watch very much and was interesting. In addition, Many famous movie star appearing in this movie. For example, Maria Canals Barrera; she appeared in Wizards of Waverly Place, Bryan Lee Cranston; he appeared in Contagion and Taraji P. Henson; she appeared in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and more movie star appeared in this movie.

Next movie is Pretty Woman. This movie’s release date is March 23, 1990. The movie’s movie director is Garry Marshall. She received a Golden Globe Award, and a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Actress by appearing this movie. In addition, the screenwriter J.F. Lawton was nominated for a Writers Guild Award and a BAFTA Award.This movie is the modern version story that was based on "my fair lady"and the story is a royal road of love story. In work of Julia Roberts,the movie is one of hers masterpiece. In the movie, the roll of Julia Roberts is call girl. First, Julia Roberts acted Vivian Ward. Her job is a call girl. But, when she met Edward Lewis, her life was changed. Richard Gere acted Edward Lewis. He is very gentleman. He asks her about act role of his girlfriend in three days. And, he gives her much money. Sometimes he bought many expensive dresses, clothes, jewelies and so on. So, if I were Vivian Ward, I think that I can not believe of his offer like her too. But, she wants much money and she thought the job is very easy and I can receive much money and various expensive goods. So, she took on the job.

But, gradually, Vivian Ward was attracted to him. Then, Edward Lewis was attracted to her too. They are both attracted to each other. But, She worried about it, because she is a call girl, conversely, he is rich man. So, she thinks if I was ever stay with him, I trouble to him. Edward Lewis thinks that proposal of marriage to her. But, his friends stopped him. But eventually, he proposal to her. But she disappears in front of him, because she thinks that I am not suitable of him. Last scene is most famous scene. Edward Lewis has flowers, and he came her home. Then, he use umbrella, and go up ladder for her.

Third movie is Erin Brockovich. This movie’s release date is March 17, 2000. The movie’s movie director is Steven Soderbergh.The movie is a story of half Erin Brockovich life and this is non-fiction. She gained the settlement package of the highest ever amount.The movie is very interesting. This movie tells you importance to never give up. Early in the film the real Erin Brockovich has a cameo appearance as a waitress named Julia. Julia Roberts played the part of Erin Brockovich. She is a single mother who has threer kids and has no job. She is very cool because she stuck to her volition. For instance, she always wears clothes with much exposure even in law office. When she was paid attention to her clothes, she said "I wear these clothes because I think that these clothes become me". When you watch the movie, you will think that I want to become woman like her by watching this movie. Words which she spoke in the movie had a sharp tongue but gripping. For example, she said “ Krispy doughnut” to a fat woman. The movie has some scenes which audiences can make them feel like smiling. This movie has not only serious scenes. Her acting was very well and roll of Erin Brockovich matched her. She won the Academy Award, Golden Globe, Screen Actors' Guild Award and BAFTA for Best Actress. The film itself was also nominated for Best Picture and Best Director for Steven Soderbergh at the 73rd Academy Awards.

Erin Brockovich gained the settlement package of the highest ever amount by cooperate with Edward L. Masry who works with her as lawyer. Albert Finney appeared this roll. George who is a boyfriend of Erin Brockovich take care of her children while she looks up the actual condition of pollution of toxic substances. He is unfettered person and loves bike. Aaron Edward Eckhart appeared the man.

Auduences probably know fearful of pollutions once more by watching the movie. We can’t see and notice pollutants easily. In the movie, toxic substances have been run with water for ten years in a town of America.  Human being can’t live without water. Those pollutions had happened in Japan, too. That it is very fear. Those toxic substances are run when businesses have priority over benefits better than human’s health and life. We must be careful not to have such a thing in the future.

Essay2-02b: My favorite place

Hello. Today, I want to introduce "my favorite place". I have many favorite places. But, my best favorite place is my home, because my home always makes me relax. We lived in apartment before. But, we moved out to a house. My home was built nine years ago. So, I think that is very comfortable. I live in this house with my parents and my sister. And I have some favorite places in my house.

First, I like my room. I almost stay own room. I often listen the music, reading books, and watching TV. Recently, I bought a my computer. So, I sometimes use the computer in my room. And, the computer has a contents of TV. So, I sometimes watching TV in computer. And, I like on the bed, because there is hot in winter and cool in summer. Yesterday, I bought new carpet. So, I plesure cover the carpet in my room. And, I put a electric piano in my room. I learned the piano from when I was five years old. Then, Sometimes I played the piano in my home.

Second, I like living room. I eat dinner in living room with my family. I sometime watching TV there with my sister. And, I talk some topics with her. Last week, we prepared "Kotatsu" in living room. It is very useful and settles down for me. And, it is very hot place. Recently, my family almost sit down there. Especially, I like kitchen, because I don't well at cooking. But, my mother often teach me about cooking. So, recently I I think that like it...little.

Third, I like balcony and garden. Sometimes, we eat lunch in balcony. In summer, I made chipped ice with my friend in balcony. Sometimes, some cats come there in winter. And, I eat barbecue in my garden with cousins in every summer. It is a every year's big event in my family. There is my cousins and us memorial place. Then, we talk about horror stories.

 Fourth, I like loft space in my room. A loft space means that one more floor is in its room. There is a loft space in my room and I go there using a ladder. Although a loft space is large than expected, since the ceiling is near, it cannot stand. Since that is the space which settles down very much, I use to become one person. I sometimes read a book there.

Last, I still like other place in my house. For example, toilet, bath room and a field. My home is very hot at winter and very cool at summer. So, I think that is very comfortable place. My home is makes me happy and give me much relax time. So, I think that my favorite place is my home.

Essay1-02c:Our university life for exchange students

Hi! We are student of KGU. We entered KGU last year. We belong to the department of foreign languages at KGU. University life is very happy every day because KGU is very good place. Our university has many good points. So, we think that you have to need to know about KGU. So, we think that we will introduce for exchange students need to know and want to know about KGU.

First, one thing which we think exchange students need to know is LAWSON. This is a convenience store in KGU. Food and drink are sold there. We use there well to buy food in lunch. When we go there in lunch time, there is crowded with many students. We like spaghetti salad which is sold there. It is delicious. we recommend you to eat it. In addition, there are copy machines in LAWSON . It is very convenient because we can copy it after buying food.

Second, we will talk about a section of library. Library is very big and clean. In addition, there are many computers, foreign newspapers, books, DVD and CD . It is comfortable to take a rest and to study there. And library is open until night 10:00 for the Monday through Saturday. In addition, library is open on Sunday until 5:00 of the evening. So we can spend much time there. We often read foreign newspapers. And, we sometimes write own homework. The library is opened on a holiday. So, we think that it is very convenient.

Third, there are many exchange students in KGU. There is a place in which we can talk with them. The place is called English Lounge. A lot of events are held in the room. For example, Christmas party and Halloween party are held there. Anyone can participate in these events. These events are very fun. We think that you can enjoy it if you participate in these events. There are many toys in the lounge. If you come to the lounge, you can establish communication with the people that are in the room while playing games.
We think you can be good at English if you come there.

Fourth, we will talk about circles and clubs. There are many circles and clubs in KGU. There are about 100 circles and clubs. If you belong to the club or circle, you'll be able to make friends. Many events are held in each circles and clubs. For example, we do barbecue, look at fireworks, and travel somewhere. They are very pleasant. Our friend who belongs to same clubs with us is very kind and hears our trouble. When the school festival, each circle and club make the piece or open a stall. So, it is very warm up.

Fifth, we will talk about other buildings. We want to teach attached school of KGU. It has a high school, a junior high school, and a preschool. A junior high school was built in about two years ago so it is very clean. A high school is being built near the university. So, we can see their ground from our library. Students of high school looks like enjoy their high school life. They sometimes come to a LAWSON and a bakery. They are very cheerful every day. So, sometimes, we give vigor from high school students.

Sixth, KGU has many buildings. There are about nine buildings and classrooms in each building. One building has seven floors. There are stairs but if our class is held at an upper floor, we should use it. It is very hard. So we can use elevators. We think that it is very convenient because not only people whose class is held at an upper floor but also the people that can’t use stairs such as injury or illness need it. Each elevator has a weight limit, so you need to take care when you take it.

Seventh, KGU is located in a convenient place. It is located in the central part of the city of Kumamoto. There are a station and a bus stop near KGU. It is very convenient for people that have to use means of transportation. If you use a streetcar, you can go to Kami kumamoto to Kengun, and you need to pay only ￥150, if streetcar transport you how distance. There are busy streets near this university, so we can go there when we have spare time and after our class was over. There are a lot of restaurants there. We recommend you to go there.

Eighth, we will talk about PC. There are many PCs in KGU. For example, there are it in building No. 11, 14 and library. And, some classes use computers at these time. It is very useful and convenient when we want to examine something. So, we can do homework at school. It is helpful for us very much. These PCs are accessible to all students.

Last, we can't write here all things about KGU. However, there is a more wonderful place in KGU. We are glad if our life is slightly helpful for you while you spend from now on in KGU. Hello, My name is Ayumi. At first, I introduce myself. I am nineteen years old. I am from Kumamoto at Japan. I am belong to KGU.

Kumamoto has many famous places, such as, Kumamoto castle. This castle’s walls are very beautiful. Kumamoto has famous food too. Such as, “Basashi”. This is horse meat. But… I don’t like it. Karashirenkon is a famous food too. If you come to Kumamoto, I would guide it. I like Japanese food. For example, “Sashimi”. Do you know it?

And, I like Japanese traditions. Such as, Osyougatsu, Hanami, the festival day for children aged seven, five, and three and so on. I want to foreign people. My best memory in Japan is my high school’s school trip. First, I went to Nagano by plane. Nagano is a very cold place at winter. So, Nagano has many ski resorts. I skied for two days. I felt so cold.

Second, I went to Tokyo. I went to various places in Tokyo. Including, Odaiba, Ueno zoo and so on. I had a very nice time! I have been to various place in Japan for family trips or school trips or club trips. I go on a trip with my family in every summer vacation. I am looking forward to on family trip every year. And, I went to Okinawa for our club trip. I went to Churaumi Aquarium, American village, sea and so on. Japan is a wonderful country.

My favorite things are to the piano and classical ballet. I played the piano for nine years. Recently, I often play the piano. I play the piano for a change of pace. And, I studied classical ballet for eleven years too.

My favorite movie is Harry Potter series. Especially, like Emma Watson. She is very beautiful. Let me finish my introduction with this. I want to become friends with you!
